Fish

Our fish outgrew his small tank after a year and a half since he survived under my care this long we figured he was sticking around. So we went out and purchased him a fancy new place. Check out his new digs. Perhaps we try to introduce some friends for him if he promises not to eat them he is a tad aggressive.

Weekend Pictures, picking up James at camp and hanging out at home

We drove up north on saturday and picked up James from Camp. His week away was amazing, he can't wait to go back next year and he would like to go for at least 2 weeks next time.

Adventures around my place today

Today I headed out with 3 kids for my babies 4 month check up and needles he was such a trooper just a slight cry after each shot one in each leg. He's 11 pounds now already. He will quickly catch up to his 4 year old sisters 21 pounds. It was a very smooth trip Ashley seemed pleased she didn't need to get up on the table for an exam.

We headed to Shoppers the local drug store for a vitamin D drops. I asked my 7 year old if he would like a treat he eyes the candy counter reaches for the sweetarts then looks over at me and says " I'm not into candy like James mom no thanks" he didn't inherit my sweet tooth that's for sure.

Once home, I decided it was time for war against my fruit fly infestation. We actually entertained ourselves sucking up these little buggers with the vacuum as well as spaying the odd one with windex. You know your life is fairly low key when this is a form of entertainment. Hopefully we are in store for something more exciting this weekend.

Tornado last night too close to home

Check this out.. this storm came through Vaughan a city that neighbours mine. No one was killed here however a 11 year old boy lost his live yesterday while at day camp near our cottage very sad due to the same series of storms. I always thought this kind of weather happened down in the states.

Camp Olympia

James loved Kayak and Canoe camp this week and is very excited to be going to Camp Olympia next week for Basketball camp it's a real workout. He is suppose to be conditioning prior to going to camp with 15 each of push ups, sit ups and stride jumps followed by a 25 minute run/bike or swim all this x3 sets. He's not quite there yet but can probably do 1.5 sets of that kayak camp has helped. At Camp Olympia he will be working out 5 to 6 hours a day can you image that? He is so excited too.

We have been shopping all week in preparation he needed some new stuff, a disposable camera, flash light, basketball shoes and a tracksuit. James seem to really enjoy these shopping trips. The boys summer has been pretty great so far Damon was out on the greens today practicing his swing. They are turning into athletes that is for sure and loving it to.

Just hanging out in our backyard...

My kids can't seem to get enough of this kind of fun ... each night after dinner they head out to swing and listen to music. Tonight they favored Sean Kingston Fire Burning. There was loads of giggles, dancing and swinging in my backyard. It's really nice to see them having so much fun with a little music and a swing.

Okay Taylor not swinging Ashley has dibs on that swing right now but i wanted to post his cute picture anyways.

My tour players in the making

Well at the cottage my husband cut down some old clubs for the boys and picked up some practice balls. Saturday he took them to the driving range so they could hit some real balls. They really enjoyed it, once Taylor old enough they will have a foursome. Then Ashley and I can sneak off and do some girly stuff.

This week Damon is off to Golf Camp and James is at Kayak & Canoe camp at a lake close by. They are both loving it. That leaves Ashley, Taylor and I doing lots of dropping off and picking up throw in some therapy appointments and things are pilling up at home like house work and cleaning. The weather has been so nice here .. we usually stop for a icey treat on the last trip of the day the slushies seem to keep everyone very happy.

First voyage - James kayaking

Our new toy

We decided to pick up a kayak for some added fun at the lake. Here's a few pictures of the boys giving it a try . I got on once but I was told that it looked like i was on a treadmill. There was lots of head wind i swear and a serious storm came in 15 minutes later so i never made it anywhere but it was enjoyable. I'm sure i'll enjoy it even more on a calm day.

Daddy got out on his windsurfer too.
